My first whole week of university and, without a doubt, the most challenging task has been coming to grips with the internet world of studying. Today’s students consider the internet mere child’s play.
How on earth do you find a classroom location by using an App when the internet is down? When I finally found the classroom, I found this genius physical sign hand-written by a human being. Shockingly clever.

I watched as two students glued their eyes on their friend and mentor, Mr Phone. They didn’t look up and struggled to open the locked room door. One tried it twice. How could they possibly understand a physical piece of handwritten paper with instructions taped onto a door? Do you sense my sarcasm? It was foreign to them. I felt vindicated with my superior knowledge of reading a note attached to the door. With my advanced years on this planet, they needed my assistance. I pridefully shared my knowledge and told them my mature, wise information.
My smugness of being older and wiser was short-lived, as moments later, I struggled in the lecture to gain access to the University computer system. My embarrassment and pride of not wanting to ask for assistance from the young ones lead me to spend the entire lecture staring at a black screen.
